Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement

By creating an account, browsing the marketplace, listing capacity, buying Air Credits, or calling the Air Inference API, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you use Air Inference on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.

2. The service

Air Inference is a two-sided marketplace for AI inference. Developers may enable exact Air model IDs, buy Air Credits, and call an OpenAI-compatible API. Providers may list OpenAI-compatible endpoints, publish PAYG rates, and fulfill requests. Air proxies each call to the provider behind the requested model ID and meters Credits. Features labeled “v1” may change as the product evolves.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and air_ API keys.
• We may suspend accounts that abuse the platform, evade fees, or violate these Terms.

4. Developers

• Purchases of Air Credits grant spendable balance for enabled models as described at checkout.
• You must not use the API for unlawful content, malware, scrapers that violate third-party terms, or attempts to reverse-engineer other users’ systems beyond normal API use.
• Availability depends on the provider behind the Air model ID you call. If that provider fails or times out, the request fails — Air does not switch providers.

5. Providers

• You must only list endpoints you are authorized to operate and that implement the advertised OpenAI-compatible behavior.
• Upstream API keys are encrypted at rest. You remain responsible for rotating keys and for the quality, legality, and reliability of your capacity.
• Going live requires valid credentials. Misleading listings, bait pricing, or intentional outages may result in removal.
• In the current product version, Stripe charges are collected by the platform and provider payouts may be settled off-platform. A documented platform fee (currently 10%) applies unless we publish otherwise.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before purchase. Fees, taxes, and currency handling follow the checkout flow. Refunds, if any, are handled case-by-case and may be limited after Credits have already been spent on inference.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Probe, overload, or attack the platform or other providers
• Circumvent metering, Credits billing, or authentication
• Resell Air access in violation of these Terms or applicable law
• Upload or generate content that is illegal where you operate

8. Intellectual property

Air Inference branding, software, and documentation remain ours. Your prompts, models, and upstream systems remain yours (or your licensors’). We do not claim ownership of model outputs generated through providers.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY, ERROR-FREE ROUTING, OR THAT ANY PROVIDER WILL MEET YOUR LATENCY OR QUALITY REQUIREMENTS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AIR INFERENCE DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Air Inference and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid to Air Inference in the three months before the claim or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
